Imphal, August 08 2009: Leader of the KYKL's Military Defence Force (KYKL-MDF), a breakaway group of the proscribed KYKL, Captain Rishikanta succumbed at a private medical centre tonight.

Rishikanta alias Sanasam Inaoton alias Ratan (34) s/o (L) Shamu of Sawombung Thongkhong had been undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital, Langol where he was recently shifted from JN Hospital after being hit by a bullet at Hundung village of Ukhrul district on August 4 evening.

Rishikanta was hit by a bullet on the chest.

After Hundung villagers evacuated Rishikanta to JN Hospital on the same night of being hit, he was brought to the private medical centre where he succumed at around 9.45 pm today, confirmed a police source.
