Imphal, May 29 2011:
The State Government would take recourse to legal means to bar entry of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio into Manipur ever again, stated SPF Spokesperson N Biren today.
He was speaking at the closing function of the 2nd Mukna Exhibition organised by the Achanbigei Mukna Association at Achanbigei Ibudhou Marjing temple.
Neiphiu Rio was given due honour as Chief Minister of Nagaland after it was made clear that the Naga People's Front which is detrimental to the integrity of Manipur would not be allowed any further entry into Manipur, Biren claimed.
There was no Sixteen Point Agreement between the Nagas and the Government of India but there was a sixteen-point memorandum.
Out of these, certain points were agreed by both the parties, Biren asserted.
Stating that no one should work for creating divisions among the indigenous communities of Manipur who have been living together since prehistory, the SPF Spokesperson pointed that Nagaland is also facing serious problems for taking Dimasa's territory in Dimapur and other inter-community conflicts.
The Chief Minister of Manipur too went to Hojai but the motives are quite different.
Biren further decried the consent by the Election Commission of India to change the name of Nagaland People's Front to Naga People's Front without trying to understand the situation in Manipur.
With regard to a possible dialogue with the UNC, the Spokesperson categorically stated that there would no dialogue with the UNC until it comes up with an agenda which is considerable.
The Mukna exhibition was also watched by Delhi branch officer manager of Heppy Services Japan, Hisamasa Mizoguki.
The function was presided by Imphal East Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha P Bimola.
