Imphal, October 09: The 29th foundation day of the People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak was celebrated with much joy and zeal inside Imphal Central Jail under the aegis of Jail Committee, PREPAK.

A statement issued by the Committee informed that the main features of the celebration was social service inside the jail (on Oct 3 & 4) and sports meet (Oct 5 to 8).The celebration culminated today with revolutionary salutes to the departed revolutionaries who had made supreme sacrifices in the freedom struggle.

A two minute silence was also observed in memory of the martyred revolutionaries.

Later prizes were distributed to the winners of the sports meet, conveyed the statement.

Moreover, all the revolutionary cadres of PREPAK, PLA, UNLF and KCP joined together for a feast after pledging again with a strong conviction to save the motherland, added the statement.

The raising day of PREPAK was observed under its APO-II at a place Imphal district along with offering floral tributes and gun salute and distribution of eatables and stationary items among the people.

Candles and torches were also reportedly lit at Kodompokpi Mamang Leikai Lampak and at Ideal Collefe, Akampat to mark the occassion.
