Nagaland Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr TM Lotha said the Lotha people particularly the younger generations should be prepared to face the massive onslaught by the advancement of the world where only the "fittest" could survive.
Addressing an annual conference of the Wozhuro Range Students Union (WRSU) here at the Community Hall today, the Minister pointed out how the world had been fast "shrinking" and becoming "global village" due to the advance technologies and cyber age.
"The people simply can't survive in the midst of such massive globalization, fast developing and change scenario and highly sophisticated and competitive era," the Minister cautioned, adding, "In this situation, you can't be complacent with what you learnt yesterday, besides your mere BA or MA would not do without having extended educations and other practical knowledge.

"That is why I said change should come from within." Calling the students that every one of them was talented and gifted, he told them that they should think out of the box and aim high with the spirit of competitiveness.
K Zanbemo Odyuo, DIG, NAP, and Nzanthung K Yanthan, President, Lotha Stundets' Union, also spoke on the occasion, while M Lichanthung Lotha, President, WRSU, delivered the welcome address.
Earlier students from Shaki Students Union and Phiro Students Union presented welcome and cultural songs.
The Minister also donated Rs 50,000 (fifty thousand) towards WRSU fund and Rs 2000 (two thousand) each to the singing troupes of Shaki Students Union and Phiro Students Union.
