Bomb attacks condemned

Unidentified persons exploding bombs at the Yairipok Bishnunaha residence of the Manipur People's Party president Dr Nimaichand Luwang and Heingang Block Congress Committee president Chanamthabam Inaobi last night have been strongly condemned.
a sit-in-protest was staged at Lairikyengbam community hall today to protest last night's bomb attack at the residence of Chanamthabam Inaobi (48) .
Speaking to newspersons on the sideline of the protest demonstration, a local meira paibi namely Y Ibeni Devi said unidentified persons exploded a hand-grenade at the private residence of Inaobi at around 9.15 pm.
She maintained that unidentified persons had also carried out similar attacks in the past.
Strongly condemning the act, she suggested that every differences be sorted out in a peaceful manner.
Meanwhile, an MPP release issued by its general secretary (media) Robin Blackie described the bomb attack the residence of Dr Luwang as an act of cowardice.
Speculating that the attack might have been politically motivated, the regional political organisation said relying on violence to settle scores with political rivals will only demean electoral politics.
