Imphal, November 12 2009: In an attempt to encourage the students and sportspersons of Keirao area, the Ten Stars Development Society, Keirao Bitra has honoured students of Class X and XII who passsed the last Board and Council examinations with first class and award winners in various national and international sporting arena of the area in a simple function held today at Keirao Maibam Lampak.

The awards were given to the students and sportspersons by social worker N Itomba Meitei on the occasion.

Principal of Huyen Lalong Manipur Thang-ta Cultural Association, G Gourakishore Sharma and other achievers of the area were honoured.

Speaking on the occasion, N Itomba Meitei observed that Keirao area is lacking behind in developmental activities though it is not that far from Imphal Municipal area.

The lack of development in the area is due to the negligence of the government.
