Imphal, November 05 2010: Yeningtha Ngangna Khongdoihullakpasida, a book of poems written by M Borkeinya of Tera Khuraijam Leirak, has been selected for the 3rd Manipur State Award for Literature.Instituted by the Government of Manipur in 2008 to encourage Manipuri writers, the award carries a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh.For the election of the award, a 25-member Advisory Board had been constituted by the Government.

After selection of 15 expert members from this Advisory Board, competitors have been asked to submit five copies of their respective book for conferring the award.

Yeningtha Ngangna Khongdoihullakpasida has been adjusted as the best book from all other entries.Announcing the selection of the book for the 3rd Manipur State Literature today afternoon, Education Minister L Jayantakumar said that the award would be presented during a formal function in December.
