Imphal, May 21 2009:
The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has observed the Anti-Terrorism Day today to mark the 18th death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi at the Congress Bhavan here, an MPCC statement issued by the vice-chairman of the media cell L Baldev Sharma stated.

The observance programme was held with MPCC Vice-President T Mangibabu as the president.
The event was also attended by Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr S Budhichandra, PHED and IPR Minister TN Haokip, Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board Elangbam Kunjekishore, MLAs, ex-Ministers, office bearers of MPCC, leaders of frontal organisations, trade leaders and various Congress workers.
The programme was also organised at Ukhrul and Tamenglong districts, the statement added.
