Film Forum Manipur (FFM), an apex body of film federation of the state, has denounced the banning on film related activities imposed by some organisations while maintaining that the forum would not bow to such imposition without the prior information of the forum.
A statement issued by FFM general secretary, RK Chandra Kumar pointed out that the forum has joined the ongoing agitation by suspending film activities from September 15 and 16 .
The forum has also participated in the agitation for seven days from October 2 to 8.The statement noted that it is annoying that some organisations have imposed a ban on film activities without consulting the forum.
It added that the forum will not approve of the ban.
It further asserted that shooting of film will continue but will keep strong vigil on screening of films at public grounds on occasions other than festivals.
