Imphal, August 08 2009: Manipur Forward Youth Front (MAFYF) has announced cash assistance of Rs 5000 to Prakash - who has been sustaining serious injuries at the hands of police commandos in the ongoing peoples' movement.

A statement issued by MAFYF publicity secretary, Yaikhomba Ningthouja, also announced monthly assistance of Rs 2000 for five years in case Prakash is disabled due to the injury.

It further urged the people to put tireless effort to overthrow the soldiers' government in order to facilitate a people's government.

It also urged the concerned persons to initiate action against the guilty personnel t their respective localities in order to prevent the recurrence of fake encounters.

The MAFYF statement also observed that over 2000 lives have been lost at the hand of security forces in fake encounters since the present SPF government took charge.

It would be a right decision for O Ibobi - who has killed several people rendering many young women to widow and many mothers to mourn for their sons - to retire from politics.

Meanwhile, it also noted that many personnel of the MR and IRB have opted to join the police commandos in view of getting extra money.

It stated that the money driven Rapid Action Police Force (RAPF), or the ostracized Manipur Police Commando should be abolished.

It further appealed the people of Manipur to socially boycott Cdos and school authorities should issued transfer certificate to their wards and pull them out from school.

It urged the concerned authorities to drive out the guilty police commandos from their respective localities.

It also urged the people to launch civil disobedience movement against the Police Commando.

Saying that the present issue is now of International concern, MAFYF appealed all the people to join hand in the movement.

It also pledged to actively support the agitation of the people.
