PSO demands inquiry in student's killing

Imphal, March 06 2009: Denouncing the killing of a 12-year old student of Phoubakchao High School by a combined security forces in the strongest term, the Pangal Students' Organisation (PSO), Manipur has demanded judicial inquiry over the killing and termination of the personnel involved in the killing from service.

In a press release signed by its general secretary, Md.Burhanuddin, the PSO said that the killing of a class VII student on charge of having connection with the underground PULF is a senseless act.

It also demanded the culprits be handed over to the public so that their trials may be initiated by the public.
