World Sight Day observed at Thoubal

Kakching, November 11 2011: Along with taking out a rally by students, the 12th World Sight Day was observed under the theme of 'Eye care for all' at Thoubal today.

Organised under the aegis of District Blindness Control Society, Thoubal, Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal K Radhakumar flagged off the rally from Thoubal District Hospital.

Students coming from different schools of Thoubal district participated in the rally to spread the message of eye care.

After the rally concluded at Kshetri Shanglen located opposite to Thoubal Police Station, the main observance function was held with DC K Radhakumar as Chief Guest and Programme Officer of National Programme on Control of Blindness, Manipur Dr Kh Rajnikanta as Functional President.

CMO Thoubal Dr Kh Radheshyam, Medical Superintendent of Thoubal District Hospital and Retird CMO Dr Kshetri Manglem were also present at the occasion as Guests of Honour.
