MLA, RK Anand today observed that the present chaotic situation of the state is the outcome failure on the part of the people of different trades to give interest in their respective occupations and failure of the students to concentrate on their duties on learning.
Speaking at the annual felicitation function of the Mekola Gulap Higher Secondary School, the opposition MLA further said that considering the mode of appointment of government teachers, they should have more quality than that of the private teachers.
Government teachers were appointed after successfully passed the crucial interview they faced at the time of recruitment while those in the private have not faced such crucial interview when they were appointed.
Considering this, government teachers should have more quality than that of private schools.
He further revealed that private schools are usually tried to catch up good students.
Besides this, parents and guardians of the students in private schools take care of their children as they are sending to the school by spending huge amount.
While, parents and guardians can sent their children in government schools with very less investment compared to that of sending to private schools.
Apart this, most of the children teaching in the government schools are from poor families and those who could not get admission to the reputed schools.
The annual felicitation function presided by principal of the school, Ngangom Sabita was also attended adhayaksha of Imphal West Zilla Parishad, Soibam Subhachandra and member of the parishad Sarungbam Chaoba.
Soibam Subhachandra speaking on the occasion announced that students who are admitted newly to the Mekola Gulapi Higher Secondary School would be given a reading lamp run with dry cell each.
