Imphal, November 12 2009: The mass casual leave agitation launched by the employees of JN Hospital demanding the increase of pay may be ended tomorrow after an extended general body meeting of the employees.

The hospital employees have held the meeting for two consecutive days since yesterday though without any concrete resolution.

The meeting has been extended till tomorrow.

According to the president of the Working Committee of JN Hospital Employees' Association, the employees' representatives have met Health Minister Ph Parijat today after the general body meeting.

Parijat was said to have assured the representatives that the government is initiating the process for absorption of the JN Hospital employees into JNIMS.

The Health Minister reportedly told the representatives that a Core Committee has been instituted to facilitate the absorption of JN Hospital employees to JNIMS.

He was also said to have conveyed that the government has begun implementation of some programmes in the interest of the agitating employees.

The assurance of the Health minister will be discussed by the employees during the extended general body meeting tomorrow.
