SoO signatories press for political dialogue

Imphal, November 11 2011:
The various revolutionary groups under the KNO and UPF who are under the SoO with the state government have pressed for the initiation of a political dialogue to the government.
According to a highly reliable source, it has been revealed that a talk between the government and the leaders of the various revolutionary groups was held at the Banquet Hall of 1st MR this morning in which the leaders of the revolutionary groups pressed the state government for the initiation of a political dialogue.
There has still not been any response from the government regarding the proposal put up by the other party.
It is likely to be discussed in another round of talks which will be held later.
There is also apprehension that the state government refused to come to any conclusion as they needed the approval of the Union government.
The source further revealed that the state government has strictly advised the SoO signatories to stick to the ground rules.
The SoO signatories also pressed the state government to complete the building structures of the designated camps and also to increase the numbers of designated camps as the number of cadres under SoO have been increasing.
