Ibobi, Gaikhangam discuss party's poll prospects

With non-Congress parties trying to write off Congress party, Chief Minister O Ibobi and MPCC President Gaikhangam sat together for a serious and lengthy discussion over the poll prospects of the party at the Chief Minister's Bungalow today.
According to information received by Hueiyen Lanpao, the two Congress leaders deliberated on the strategies to be chalked out for remaining at the helm of power.
With the results of the elections to be declared tomorrow, the two leaders also discussed strategies to be adopted by the Congress if it does not get absolute majority.
Meanwhile, PDA, the alliance of 11 non-Congress parties in state is holding its meetings on daily basis to discuss changing political scenario of the state.
The meeting of the PDA was held today at the residence of Radhabinod Koijam, President, NCP.
A formal letter on the formation of the PDA has also been submitted to the CEO, Manipur.
