NK Sanajaoba remembered

Imphal, November 11 2011: The 7th NK Sanajaoba remembrance day, 2011 was observed at the Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace compound with floral tributes to the photo of the departed soul as a mark of respect.

RV Minthing, Ex Minister said that NK Sanajaoba was a true leader of the state who worked for the betterment of the Manipuri society.

A leader like him needs to be remembered and his footsteps should be followed by all generations.

All communities dwelling in the state should keep aside all their differences and work to bring about a peaceful resolution of all problems.

Delivering the Presidential speech on the occasion, Lokendro Arambam, Chairman, NK Sanajaoba Memorial Observation Committee said that NK Sanajaoba played a big role in the field of Investigative journalism.

Remembering him, incentive awards are also being distributed to investigative journalist.

As a part of the function, five journalist of different newspaper firms of the state were awarded the Investigative Journalist Incentive Award.

They were N Nimol of Naharolgi Thoudang, Ksh Meghajit of Naharolgi Thoudang, L Shamungou of Sangai Express, S Bokuljaoba of Sangai Express and S Sonia of Poknapham.
