No memorandum submitted to CM: Chandel village Chiefs

Asserting that there was no incident of unleashing resin of terror by the cadres of UKLF, chiefs of five villages of Chandel district today said they had not submitted any memorandum to the chief minister to address their grievances with regard to the alleged atrocities meted out by the outfit, a signatory of the SoO.
Chiefs of three villages, Hemjalun Haokip of Y Thingkangphai village, Jilngam Baite of Khongnang Pheisabi and Tongmang Haokip of L Thilhangphai, who were included among the five chiefs signed in the memorandum submitted to CM on April 5, said that they have no knowledge of submitting the memorandum, briefing to media persons at Molnoi village of Pallel today.
Hemjalun said that there were no incidents of harassing people of his villages on the night of April 1 and 2 last.
He said that he was surprised when his name was found mentioning in the memorandum said to have been submitted to the CM.
He further urged the authority concerned of the government to conduct a thorough investigation find out the person(s) who submitted the memorandum, alleging that his signature in the memorandum was a forge.
Jilngam Baite, giving a similar statement with Hejalun, said that if any of the chief happened to submit the memorandum, at least it should be done after due consideration among the chiefs.
He was unhappy when his name was found included in the memorandum.
For the time being the person(s) responsible for the submission of the memorandum should know that truth cannot be concealed longer.
It will come to light he said expressing government authority also needs to make a thorough inquiry into the matter.
Tongmang Haokip asserted that there was instant of visting UKLF cadre to his village on April 1 and 2 but no atrocity was committed to the villagers.
