Imphal, July 25 2010: Hapta Kangjeibung Ground opposite of AIR station at Palace compound Imphal will have a new look soon as Management Committee of the ground under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East has drafted special plan for improvement of the Kangjeibung.

PRO to DC, Imphal East, L Debala, in a statement, said that a meeting of the Hapta Kangjeibung Management Committee was held on July 23 last with Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East in the chair.

The meeting resolved to pursue the development plan proposal for development of Hapta Kangjeibung.

The plan was prepared in consultation with the Planning and Development Authority (PDA) with approximate budget estimate of more than Rs 4 crores.

The fund likely to receive from Art and Culture Department and as soon as the Hapta Kangjeibung Management Committee would take up fencing on the side of BOAT and drain along with parking space, the statement said adding that for regular care of the ground they have also decided to engage full time caretaker.
