Four die, seven hurt in mishaps

Imphal, May 27 2011:
Four persons including a woman died and injure to seven others in three separate incidents occurred at different places today.
The accident that claims the life of the woman and a man occurred near Tungam village in Senapati district along the NH-39 in the early hour today around 3.30 am.
A Bolero vehicle (MN-03P/1367) skidded in the curved on the road and fell down into the roadside gorge.
Four other occupants of the vehicle including the driver sustained injuries in the accident were admitted at RIMS hospital where they were referred from Senapati district hospital after administering first aid.
The victim woman was identified as Kabita Kumar (44) wife of Krishna Kumar from Delhi and the deceased man as KS Robert (33) son of KS Yangche of Ukhrul district.
Life of a man was also claimed when a truck fell down into the gorge today morning at Prince Corner under Ukhrul PS.
Four other occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries.
They were evacuated at RIMS hospital.
The deceased was identified as Laishram Jugon (60) of Lamdeng Khunou under Lamshang PS.
Yet in another accident occurred last night around 10.30 pm at place between Moidangpokpi and Keithelmanbi, the driver, Konjengbam Kumar (27) of Kondompokpi, of the vehicle had died.
The handyman sustained injuries.
The truck driven by the handyman rammed into a tree on the roadside, the report said.
