Tangkhul orgns for democratic inquiry

Imphal, February 22 2009: The Kasom Khullen Sub-division Development Association, the Tangkhul Aze Katamnao Long and the Ksom Khullen Subdivision Students� Union have expressed appreciation to the authority for the concern and noble service done in connection with the search operation of the abducted officials. In a joint press statement, the bodies have appealed the investigating department to carry out legal process of investigation within the jurisdiction of law so that the enquiry is done in a democratic way while also urging the investigation to be free from political influence. The statement also appealed to all concerned group, gang, and individual involved in the case not to exert threats to the three staff or their families while also appealing students� bodies and civil organisations to join hand and lend support in this regard.

The bodies have also joined the families in sharing their grief.
