Imphal, May 28 2011: Blessing cum invocation ceremony for LS Haokip who is being projected as candidate for 52 Saitu Assembly constituency in the forthcoming 10th Assembly elections was held today at T Laijang village playground.

During the ceremony organised by the Saitu Kendra Development Forum, Rev Paokhosei Kipgen conducted blessing and invocation for the aspiring candidate.

Speaking at the occasion, LS Haokip strongly denounced the gun culture associated with the politics of Kukis.

Saying that gun culture would not bring anything positive, he appealed to the leaders to guide politicians in the right path.

He also called upon all to practice such politics which would be acceptable to god, the law and the people.

Lein Gangte said that the Saitu Kendra Development Forum was set up with the primary objective of bringing speedy development in Saitu AC.

He said that the forum has decided to put up LS Haokip as a candidate in the next Assembly elections from Saitu AC.
