Imphal, October 11 2009: Troops of 28 Assam Rifles apprehended one PREPAK cadre from the general area of Kiyamgei yesterday.

The cadre has been identified as Tajudin (34) s/o (L) Md Jemeruddin of Kiyamgei.

One .38 pistol and magazine with five live rounds were recovered from him.

He has been handed over to Irilbung police station yesterday, said a press release of PRO Hqs IGAR (S).

The same troops apprehended one KCP cadre from Kwakeithel area yesterday.

The cadre has been identified as Wahebam alias Thoiba (45) s/o (L) W Chaoba.

One mobile handset and one LML Vespa (MN 02 4945) have been seized from him.

The cadre has been handed over to Imphal police station, added the press release.

In yet another incident, the press release said, troops of 12 Maratha Light Infantry nabbed one PULF (Azad) cadre today identified as Md Manwal (24) s/o Md Abdul Salam of Bengun Makha Leikai.

Imphal West district police commandos arrested one UKLA (MC) cadre from the house of one Seigin Haokip of Heibroud Veng of Langol Type-II.

He has been identified as Dampular Haokip alias Lanpu alias Demkholal (37) s/o Azang Haokip of Kholep, Senapati district.

On spot verification, he disclosed that he is the finance secretary of the outfit and he was assigned to extort money from Moreh Customs, FCS Saikul, Tribal Development (Secretariat) and Government officials, said a press release of Imphal West SSP.

Imphal West district police commandos arrested one UNLF cadre from his house yesterday.

The cadre has been identified as Khomdram Ratan Singh (43) s/o Kh Ibotombi of Singjamei Kshetri Leikai.

On spot verification, he disclosed that he is working under the command of Umakanta, s/s 2nd Lt of UNLF.

One mobile handset was seized from his possession, said a press release of Imphal West Senior Superintendant of Police.
