Imphal, December 28 2008: The relay hunger strike being staged in solidarity to Irom Sharmila's demand for complete repeal of the draconian Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act 1958 from all over the State has completed 19th day today.

The relay hunger strike being staged at Porompat PDA complex under the aegis of the Sharmila Kanba Lup was participated by members of the Young Horizon, Lairikyengbam Leikai Nupi Samaj Chaokhat Lup and Women Development Organisation, Lairikyengbam Leikai.

Rose Mangshi and executive director of Human Rights Initiative Jenine spoke on Sharmila's campaign and AFSPA at the protest venue.
