Education Minister L Jayentakumar today urged the student community of the state to study hard so as to able to keep a commendable achievement at All India Class-XII examination to be introduced from the current academic session under National Policy.
The All India Class-XII exam is to be conducted by dropping the general practice of Class-X examination, the minister who addressed at the Second M Manindra Memorial Meritorious Award 2010 distribution function held at INA Martyrs' Memorial Hall, Moirang organized by M Manindra Memorial Trust today.
L Jayantakumar reminded that education system in the state cannot be undermined.
However, he regretted that due to prolonged mismanagement and fake appointment existed 20 years ago, the education system was in the state deterioration.
He also stressed the need to exploiting full potential of the state in education saying that streamlining education department is still incomplete as he is in power as education minister only for about 3 years.
He further called upon the meritorious award winning students of Moirang A C present in the function not to remain complacent with their achievement but to strive harder for achieving success at national level.
Moirang A C MLA M Prithiviraj presided over the function in which the first division holders from his constituency were felicitated by a trust instituted in the name of his late father M Manindra.
