Imphal, December 11 2009: Three Bangladeshi nationals including a woman have been apprehended by troops of 29 Assam Rifles at a mobile check post at Tengnoupal yesterday afternoon, said an AR PRO release.

The Bangladeshi nationals were travelling in a Tata Sumo towards Moreh.

They have been identified as Rohul Amin (30) s/o Abdur Rahman, Zama (19) s/o late Sultan Md and Fatima Begum (40) d/o Abdu Rahman of Cox Bazar, Bangladesh.

Spot interrogation revealed that they had crossed over to India in May this year to liaise with militant outfits of the North East.

They have been handed over to Tengnoupal police station.
