Intensifying the agitation against the state government demanding punishment to cadres of the NSCN-IM involved in killing of SDO Kasom Khullen Dr Th Kishan, Driver A Rajen and Mandol Y Token, the Joint Action Committee (JAC) formed against the killing in association with various other civil organizations has launched a poster campaign yesterday at Manipur Press Club.
The convener of the JAC, Sapam Subhaskar expressed that the poster campaign will go on until and unless the issue is spread to every corner of the state.
The JAC said that the posters which will be displayed will include the photographs of the three deceased officials with a statement written on it as "Punish the murderer NSCN-IM".
Meanwhile, the Teachers and Students of Jamia Milia Islamia, University of Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru University, Manipur Women Gun Survivors Network, Manipur Students' Association, Delhi (MASAD), Past Pupils of Don Bosco and Rock Music, Manipur will jointly organize a mass rally from 3 pm to 7 pm and observe candle light vigil in the National Capital City on March 7 to mark agitation against the murder of state officials by NSCN-IM.
The mass rally will start from Jantar Mantar to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and submit a memorandum appealing to punish the guilty cadres of NSCN-IM in the brutal killing of the three state employees of Manipur.
The candle light vigil will commence just after the mass rally.
Mention may be made that NSCN-IM has admitted that one of their responsible official, Lt Col H Ningshen was involved in murdering the three employees of Manipur and also promised to punish accordingly by the NSCN-IM authority.
But later in a statement on February 25, the NSCN(IM) announced that they cannot punish the murderers until the high level enquiry committee reports of the outfit is not submitted by March 4.The NSCN(IM) again on March 3 announced the involvement of DC Ukhrul Pankaj Kumar in the murder.
NSCN-IM seeks another 15 days duration to investigate into the matter.
The JAC has been undertaking various forms of agitation demanding the handing over of the killers to the state government of Manipur and punish them appropriately acording to law.
The JAC in the press meet yesterday announced to take up a rickshaw rally and stop celebration campaign from March 8.
