Imphal, September 27 2010: Security forces have arrested five UG cadres from different locations.

In the first incident, Thoubal district police commandos arrested one RPF/PLA cadre from Wabagai Lamkhai Bazar at around 6.30 pm yesterday.

The cadre has been identified as Thounaojam Debendro Singh (43) s/o Babuchouba of Keirak Leirak Achouba.

The district police commandos also nabbed one KYKL activist from Wangjing at around 8.30 am today.

The cadre has been identified as Nahapam Ingocha Singh alias Soken (32) s/o Tomba of Wangjing SK Leikai.

On questioning, he disclosed that he joined the outfit in February 2006 through one Heikrujam Indrajeet Singh s/o Heikrujam Ingen Singh of Wangoo Mamang Sabal and he was given Army No 1136, said a press release issued by Thoubal Additional SP, Jogeshchandra Haobijam.

In another incident, a combined team of Thoubal district police commandos and troops of 4/8 Gorkha Rifles of Red Shield Division arrested three overground workers of KCP-MC (Lamyanba Khuman) yesterday.

They have been identified as Ningthoujam Ibemcha Devi (29) w/o late Samananda of Thanga Salam, Anita Devi (35) w/o Krishna Kumar of Bishnupur Ward No 4 and Khundrakpam Dharmedra Singh (38) s/o Birbabu of Ningthoukhong Ward No 13 .

Eight demand notes and one mobile handset were seized from them, said a press release issued by PRO PIB (DW).
