The Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industries, KCCI called off the indefinite closure of shops in Kohima from 12 noon on Saturday.
Sources revealed that the KCCI had decided to suspend the closure after a threadbare discussion with the State Government at the State Home Ministers level in presence of the Director General of Police and Commissioner and Secretary to the Chief Minister on Saturday morning.
KCCI sources revealed that the Home Minister, Imkong L.Imchen has assured to seriously look into matter and fulfill all the charter of demands of the business community in kKohima.
The KCCI delegation had demanded that the culprits involved in the abduction and killing of their member late Pradeep Prasad be nabbed at the earliest.
They also demanded that bail should not be granted to the culprits but take exemplary action befitting that of a murderer.
The KCCI further urged upon the government to reinforce law for the safety of the business community.
After the threadbare discussion, KCCI members went round the town declaring call off and normal life resumed after almost 20 hours of closure in Kohima.
The KCCI had imposed indefinite closure since yesterday following Pradeep Prasad's abduction on Monday.
