Maintaining its good form 50th CC Meet champions SSU, Singjamei crushed SAI RC while ESU, Wangkhei, Moirang's AMOFA and PYC, Phoudel also collected maximum points in the Manipur State League 2006 played at different locations today.
Playing at Takyel ground, SSU showed little mercy against the home side SAI RC with Banny Chiru netting two and Gaichungam Kamson adding one to register the comfortable win margin.
Banny Chiru set the pace of the match with a fifth minute strike before his second came five minute from the half time whistle.
G Kamson completed the formality in the 76th.Entertaining YWO, Bishnupur at Wangkhei local outfit ESU seldom gave any moment for laxity to the visitors when S Heman slammed home the opener in the 29th minute.
Inspite of the Bishnupur side managing to squeeze in one four minutes later, the home team held sway through the remaining session with goals from Th Surjit (79th) and P Saratchandra one minute from end of normal time ensuring maximum points for ESU.
At Moirang Multi-purpose Higher Secondary School ground, local outfit AMOFA held onto its 17th minute goal scored by HMT Amol Kom to leave NEROCA, Laipham Khunou in the lurch.
In another match played at Kakching, visitors PYC, Phoudel came from behind to edge past DSA, kakching by the odd goal in three.
Even though Premchand put the home side ahead within five minutes of play, L Indramani levelled the score in the 13th as Riyaz Khan sealed the match with a 51st minute decisive goal.
