Fawn rescued

Imphal, April 24 2011:
One Irungbam Chinglensana (40) of Moirang Oksobung Leikai has handed over a fawn to authorities of Manipur Zoological Garden today.
According to Chinglensana the fawn was bought at Rs 400 from some individuals who had brought it for sale at near Biyang Gangte village under Churachandpur district but falling under the jurisdiction of Moirang police station.
he reportedly went to the said village for an inspection of his paddy field.
Chinglensana claimed to have negotiated price of the fawn at Rs 400 even though its captors were asking for Rs 1500 .
