Having a whirlwind tour of the district, Inspector General of Assam and Meghalaya frontier Border Security Force, PK Mishra express need for finding means to eliminate orphanage within the society.
Dedicating a renovated set of Boys dormitory, dining hall and a toilet to the inmates of Sangga Muon In � an orphanage home instituted by Kuki Women Union later in the day, the General express his reservation in considering such a home as a solution.
Orphans transpire because of militancy and social conflict; if they were resolved the problem will evaporate, he said.
And if, 'bureaucrats and the people could merge, militancy will end' he adds.
The general also calls on the Govt to adequately provide basic amenities to the people.
'Govt should give them what they want, if basic need don't reach the people, how can they grow' he said.
For the sake of engaging more number of unemployed youths in the region, Mishra has promise more number of Recruitment for the district.
Don't think of joining militancy, you have greater responsibility to look up to your seniors and to take care of your juniors, he said to the kids while to the others, he said, I want the children not to cling on to the home, but to go out to the society as responsible citizen.
A former DIG of the STC/BSF here, Mishra took salute of the attestation parade at STC/BSF early in the day.
He then, proceeds to Mata Lambulane, a village located alongside the NH 150 at about 11 kms from here to inaugurate a renovated Govt.Jr High School building.
Greeted with colourful dances and tunes from the school children, Mishra inaugurate the otherwise pitiable Govt school which was renovated with an amount of more than 2 lakhs for the past couple of months.
