Imphal, December 07:
A 44 year old man accused of maligning the image of the Revolutionary People's Front by spreading false propaganda has surrendered to the outfit today.
Confessing to his anti-party activities, the accused accepted any kind of punishment in case he undertakes such defamatory activities in future.
The accused is identified as Naoshekpam Sunder of Lalambung Makhong Naoshekpam Leikai.
Parading Sunder before media persons at a place in Imphal East district, a spokesman of the RPF's Department of Communication and Publicity said that since two/three months back, Sunder has been spreading propaganda that the outfit took bribes from people besides other false, fabricated and misleading statements which had the potential to create serious misunderstanding among the cadres of the outfit.
On receiving information of his malicious activities, the outfit asked him to give in to RPF.
In response, Sunder surrendered to the outfit today.
The spokesman observed that any person indulging in floating false and malicious propaganda against a revolutionary outfit like the RPF which has been struggling to bring about a sovereign Manipur with the help of the people are hardcore enemies of the party.
Yet being a blood brother, Sunder would be handed over to family members after giving him proper counselling not to undertake such anti-party activities in future.
However, the spokesman issued a stern warning and said that Sunder should accept whatever punishment is awarded to him in case he repeats the same blunder.
Before the media persons Naoshekpam Sunder not only confessed to the accusations levelled against him but also declared that he would accept any kind of punishment if he fails to mend his ways and indulge himself in such malicious activities ever again.
Later Sunder was handed over to the family members.
