Imphal, February 01 2009:
Observing that many UG cadres have been using their organisations as a means for purely selfish ends, the proscribed KCP has admitted that the outfit is afflicted by the same disease more seriously compared to other insurgent organisations, conveyed a statement issued by the outfit's information and publicity secretary H Poirei.
Reiterating that unification process has been going on within the party with the help of the KYKL and the UNLF, the outfit presented brief biographies of some leaders who have split away from KCP.
KK Nganba : KK Nganba alias Manglemjao alias Ngouba alias Irabot alias Koi (56) of Nagamapal was an SO at Loitang Khunou Spinning Mill.
He joined the outfit in April 2002 under the then party's general secretary and now president of unified KCP Ksh Noyon.
Nganba was appointed finance secretary in January 2004.He split away from the party after fleeing away from a battle with security forces at Henglep in January 2005.After that he started collecting money from the public in the name of KCP for his personnel gain.
During the unification process of the splintered groups of KCP in 2006, Nganba was appointed convenor of the consultative group set up under the party's adhoc central committee.
In October same year, he was appointed general secretary during a party congress.
However, it turned out that he was simply craving for the post without knowing the power, function, rights and duties of being the party's general secretary.
Soon after the president came out from jail, Nganba was asked to correct himself several times.
He was also entrusted to execute some particular works of the party just to see his capability as a party leader.
Unable to execute a single work entrusted to him properly, Nganba started plotting to stay away from the party out of shame.
In April 2008, he fled away from the party camp in secret marking his split from the party.
N Brojen: N Brojen alias City Meitei alias James alias Hobby (32) of Tentha was a follower of KK Nganba alias Manglemjao.
He was also a party to the unification process initiated jointly by KYKL, PREPAK and UNLF in 2006 in his capacity as commander of KCP (MTF).
He fled away with late Kokkai when the unification was going on.
But he was arrested by security forces on the way and was imprisoned for sometime.
Soon after his release, City Meitei started extortion activities in the name of KCP (MTF) without bothering to make any communication with the 'unified KCP' or the KYKL, PREPAK or UNLF which took part in the unification as observers.
The outfit further disclosed that it was City Meitei who killed Haorungbam Ruby s/o H Angou of Lilong Chajing Konjeng Leikai and PWD EE Nabachandra of Utlou in front of his family members .
City Meitei group was also involved in launching bomb and firing attacks at private residences in pursuit of his monetary interest, it asserted.
Reports about arrest of some leaders of split away KCP groups including KK Nganba, Lamphel and City Meitei from Delhi and Bangalore when they were distributing posts for a new group amongst themselves would have confounded the people.
But the fact is that real unification process is going with the UNLF and KYKL without these leaders, it said.
Although the outfit believes in unity, it is against unification with split away leaders with dubious character in a hurried manner, clarified the outfit.
On the other hand, security forces have been killing people daily in staged managed incidents every day, it alleged.
Asserting that security forces have been committing excesses and violating human rights blatantly in the North East, particularly in Manipur, it mentioned about the Langjing incident of 1980 in which four people were killed, elimination of 10 people at Malom which gave rise to the anti-AFSPA campaign of Irom Sharmila and also the brutal murder of Manorama.
However, since the last few years, security forces have started using pseudo-revolutionaries to commit all kinds of excesses against the people masquerading as revolutionaries with the ulterior motive to present insurgent groups as terrorists to the people.
Under a new strategy, security forces have been grooming some anti-revolutionary groups like the KCP (MC) to drive a wedge within the revolutionary movement.
Security forces have been making all out efforts to use such groups in terrorising people by planting bombs at public places and killing people for money in the name of the revolutionary movement.
These groups are operating from the camps of security forces, it alleged.
It further asserted that Ibungo Ngangom alias Nongdrenkhomba and Nando alias Wanglen Khuman, accused in Elizabeth murder case, operating from Sajiwa jail by roping in drug addicts in the name of KCP is also a ploy of the Govt to present KCP and other insurgent groups in the wrong light.
Ibungo Ngangom was hiding in Shimla from UNLF which was hunting him in connection with forfeiting money from some people.
But he was arrested there for posing as an Army Major.
Asserting that there would be no place for impostors in the revolutionary movement, the outfit noted that it would be wrong on the part of the people to see every armed group as revolutionaries.
Revolutionaries should struggle for advancement of the revolutionary movement, it noted.
Saying that all the leaders and cadres of KCP are prepared to tread along the right path, the outfit invited suggestions and advice from people.
