Engineers' Day celebrated

The Institute of Engineers (India), Manipur State Centre celebrated the 44th Engineers Day at the Auditorium of Government Polytechnic, Takyelpat to commemorate the 151st Birth Anniversary of legendary engineer-statesman Bharat Ratna, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesbaraya.
Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, MP, Lok Sabha, Dr T Meinya said that the engineers need to come up with certain precautionary measures to combat natural disaster.
They should concentrate more on disaster management to control natural disasters.
The function was also attended by RK Nimai, IAS, Commissioner, Art and Culture, Th Joykumar, FIE, Immediate Past Controller of Technical Education and Training, M Lokendro, Chief Engineer, PWD, T Thaba, FIE, Addl Chief Engineer, IFCD and KH Rajchandra, FIE, Controller of Technical Education and Training, Manipur were the Guest of Honours and Special Guest.
