"Are we getting the rights to life"is the question that rises up among the people who turned up and have a look at the photos displaying in the photo exhibition underway at Mayang Imphal Maibam organized by the Threaten Indigenous People's Society (TIPS) in association with Maibam Konjil Golden Progressive Organisation.
The photos of victims of atrocities meted out by the security forces, injured in the rival clashes, awful scene of bomb explosion in the crowded areas displaying in the exhibition has shocked the people turning up there.
NG Asha Devi, a school teacher said, "Shock with fear feels at my heart and a question whether we are enjoying the rights to life rise in my thought".
"The scenes displaying in the photos is the shadow of our present society.
These are the results of what we had done because we did not election worthy leader to govern.
Security personnel from outside the state are taking advantage of the weakness of the governance,"Anand, a resident of the Mayang Imphal observed.
A rifleman of the Manipur Rifles who also turned up to the exhibition said that his heart feel with shock and emotion.
If the present conflicting situations of the state continue further, there could see nothing other than a war field in the state.
The exhibition cum convention on rights to life was organized with an objective to find a way on what step would be taken up with a massage that "who know you may also be a victim one day,"according to the organizers.
The inaugural function was attended by around 500 people, the organizers said.
