Tamenglong, March 14 2012:
The Publicity wing of Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR), Tamenglong Unit in a press statement condemned the arrest of Anthony Ningkhan Shimray, Head of Foreign Affairs of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) on 27 September 2011 from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal by the Indian Government's Intelligence Service and demanded unconditional release of the arrested NSCN (IM) leader, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail, Delhi.
The Unit has also come out strongly against the Government of India for alleged violation of its own laws on the soil of Nepal.
This was a clear violation of the existing International laws and convention for protection from Enforced Disappearance, of which India is also a signatory, the statement asserted, while appealing to the government of India for immediate and unconditional release of the arrested NSCN-IM leader.
