Speaking on the occasion, Dr K Sushila recalled that at one time, Manipur was a land where the plain was under water.
So, people used to settle in the surrounding hill areas.
According to Puya, the first human settlement started at Koubru and later shifted to Kangla when the land dried up.
So, all the people of Manipur are essentially brothers.
Unfortunately, love and unity among the brothers have been lost due to spread of different religions.
RV Mingthing exhorted that Tangkhul and Meetei are one, and the people of whole north-east belongs to Mongolian tribe.
Our forefathers showed that Laiharaoba is incomplete without Tangkhul.
Whether a person adopts any religion his face would not change.
Yangoi Pipa spoke about the necessity of ILP and the sayings of Maichous.
Dr Ng Bijoy observed that there should be a sense of integration and emotional integrity among the people and pointed out that without Kabui Salang Maiba, Moirang Kangleirol is incomplete.
