Imphal, March 02:
Observing that the problems and hardships of the people of Ukhrul district have been increasing day by day which is compounded by the absence of a full-fledged DC of the district, the Tangkhul Students' Union (TKS) expressed strong resentment against the indifferent attitude of the State Government.
In a statement made available to the press, the student body recalled that TKS along with Tangkhul Youth Council (TMNL) and Tangkhul Women Union (TSL) had submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister urging redressal of four issues.
Noting that nothing positive has come out of the memorandum, it remarked that it will see to it that its demands are discussed during the ongoing State Assembly, asserted the statement.
