Manipur Nationalist Council (MNC) president Wahengbam Nipamacha today informed that the merger of Manipur Nationalist Council with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) will be formally announced on April 16.Talking to The Sangai Express, the former CM who returned to Imphal on March 20 after holding talks with the RJD's leaders, informed that RJD president Laloo Prasad Yadav had assured to give its final approval for the merger on April 16 after putting the matter before the RJD's National Executive meeting.
He also said that MNC leaders have been in vited to attend the RJD's Na- tional Executive meeting scheduled at Patna on April 16 and further said that 20 delegates of the State MNC would attend the meeting.
Nipamacha also said that the decision to merge with the National Party RJD was taken by the party members to enable the party members to serve the people more efficently by air the peo- ple's demands in the parliament with the help of the RJD's MPs.
He further stated that RJD's high command has already given the permission for appointing him as the president of the State's RJD's unit after the merger.
