The four persons, suspected to be RPF/PLA cadres, arrested recently by Tripura police for illegal entry into India from the Bangladesh side are likely to be brought here on January 23 .
An informed source disclosed that a Manipur police team is currently at the Tripura State capital Agartala to complete formalities for taking custody of the four persons.
Apart from consent of a relevant court in agartala to shift the four back to Manipur, provision for security cover enroute to Agartala Airport had been granted, the source maintained.
It is informed that the PLA suspects were apprehended by Tripura police on january 14 night as they were about to travel to Guwahati on a hired vehicle from a West Tripura area, the border point of entering India from Bangladesh.
News agencies had quoted Tripura police officials of the four's disclosure that they had gone to Srimangal in Bangladesh for a religious occasion.
Two each are from Imphal East and Imphal West district areas, the source added.
While identities of those from Imphal West district remain unknown, the two others are said to be bikram from Kongpal Kongkham Leikai and Ibomcha of Dibong Khunou in Jiribam sub-division.
