Internationally acclaimed theatre personality Lawrence Sacharow who is also the chairman of Theatre Department of Fordhan University, New York today delivered lecture on theatre movements in the West with reference to Europe and Asia on the occasion of S Lalit Memorial Lecture at Kangla Hall today.
Lawrence who bagged the prestigious Lucuille Lortel Award for directing Edward Albee's play �Three Tall women� and a lifetime achievement award during the Frontier Theatre Conference also highlighted his personal works.
Having done in depth study of the concept and the turmoil of recovering drug addicts, his record breaking creation �The concept� based on it was staged twice at the White House and at different places across the globe.
So far he has directed the works of Shakespeare, Beckett and Chekov among other prolific playwrights and dramatists.
Renowned theatre personality Ratan Thiyam also spoke on the occasion organised by the Manipur State Kala Akademi.
