Imphal, August 14State Governor, Gurbachan Jagat today on the eve of 63rd Independence Day of the country greeted the people of the state.
Director General of IGAR(S) also greeted the people on the occasion.
In his greeting to the people of the state, Governor despite significant achievements in various sectors of development since independence, there is a lot of thing to do as a very large section of the population are living under poverty and said "It should be the edeavour of all of us to contribute our best so that we are able to build a happy and prosperous nation.
"Stating that people of the state realize the resource potential expressed the need for usefully the resource for all round development and hope for achieving both peace and prosperity in the state.
GOC 3 Corps, Lt Gen Rakesh Kumar Loomba, AVSM has conveyed his Independence Day greetings from Dimapur to all Manipuris.
While extending his greetings and best wishes on the occasion of 62nd Independence Day, GOC 57 Mtn Divn, Maj Gen Shakti Gurung, VSM also prays for the peace and well being of all the people of the state.
"May Almighty bless the people with sagacity and courage to facilitate Manipur ushering into a new era of reconciliation so as to facilitate all round development which the state richly deserves," said the Maj Gen Shakti.
