INVITATION TO JOIN TAMYA.IN

Hello friends,

TAMYA is a website which is dedicated to connecting rural life across the world. It’s an initiative to bring into one single platform the stories/photos/videos to people from around the world. We aim to do this by inviting articles/stories/photos/videos to people from across the globe. This website will remain freely accessible to any one from any place on earth.

We are inviting people who wants to write. We are inviting people who wants to take photos and share with others. We are INVITING People who wants to be a part of TEAM TAMYA.

If you are interested in sharing stories of you village or a village you have visited;

If you want to take photos of village life, people, environment;

AND, if you want a PLATFORM to share all these, then join TAMYA.

ALL THE STORIES and PHOTOS YOU SHARE WILL REMAIN YOURS.

There are two ways to join TAMYA:

If you can contribute at least one article/story/poem or two distinct photos related to village life- people, environment or anything once in a month, then you can be part of the special TEAM TAMYA. If you become a member of TEAM TAMYA, your name, photo and profile will be under the dedicated TEAM TAMYA section.

You can also be part of TAMYA as a writer under the GUEST COLUMN section. This section is like a small paradise for free expression. Here, you can submit whatever you have written. Anything on art will be accepted under this section. However, it must not offend any community, race, gender, religion whatsoever. If you become a guest writer at TAMYA, a special section will be dedicated for you under GUEST COLUMN section when you submit five or more entries.

We promise, you will not regret being a member of the super awesome TEAM TAMYA!

You can be of any gender, any race, any colour, any place! If you are not a robot, we are okay!

And, being a TAMYA member, you can work from anywhere on this planet. You can work from personal computers, laptops, ultrabooks, cellphones, etc.

ARTICLES/STORIES/FOLKTALES/PHOTOS/VIDEOS INVITED

TAMYA is a young and vigorous initiative on the stories of rural life. It’s global in vision. We aim to bring together stories of villages and rural life from across the world on one platform so that all of us can access to, read and smile!

We are inviting articles/write ups from persons from across the world. The articles can be on any topic but we prefer the ones related to rural life. If you are from a village, then it can be about your village life, what you cherished about it, what you want to do about your village etc. If you have visited a village, you can write about it also.

You can also share stories like folktales that you have translated from your own local dialect. It will be great to see those stories read by many people from across the globe. You may also come to know that many of your folk tales have similar ones in other countries as well.

ALL THE STORIES, ARTICLES SUBMITTED TO TAMYA WILL BE GIVEN PROPER CREDIT TO THE AUTHOR/TRANSLATOR.

Please read the rules and regulations below:

Rules and regulations on submitting the articles:

All the articles should be in English only.
The article should be between 500-1500 words.
Articles should be submitted along with name, proper address along with country name, and a colour photo of the author. Articles submitted without the above details will not be published.
Articles submitted to TAMYA will remain the property of the author and due credit will be given. However, once submitted, accepted and published on TAMYA, the article cannot be withdrawn from the website on any ground for one year. After one year, the author can ask for the removal of the article if he so desires.
All the articles submitted should have a written declaration that the article is written by the author himself/herself.
It is advised that the entries be submitted either in Microsoft word (for Windows) or Pages (for Mac).

All the entries should be submitted to [email protected].

While submitting the articles/stories, you must write the subject of the email as follows:

For stories, write “TAMYA Stories”

For articles, write “TAMYA Articles”

For folk tales, write “TAMYA Folktales.”

There is no dateline to submit the stories or articles. However, the sooner you submit, the more it will benefit others who may want to read your side of the story.

Those who submit more than 5 (five) stories/articles or both will have a special section under GUEST COLUMN section on our website solely dedicated to the author and his/her articles/stories.
