In view of the prevailing situation and atmosphere of Manipur, there are many mysterious and untold things happening here and there.
In fact, we boast of a rich cultural and traditional heritage handed down generation to generations from our forefathers.
The Sanamahi culture (Meitei indigenous religion), revival of her script (Meitei Mayek), her rich culture and settled civilization and her linguistic-ethnic
distinctiveness had contributed to the reassertion of Meitei national identity.
Of course, the concept of Manipuri nationalism encompassing all the indigenous peoples of the state is yet to emerge.
Amidst all these political uncertainties and inner contradictions, Manipur could successfully evolve her own unique, sophisticated and settled culture
and civilization which are rooted in the racial origin, language, social system and religion, in arts and literature, in traditional folklore, and dance and music.
Apart from the above the state finds itself as a breeding ground of various insurgent movements which are fueled by a readily available discontented
group trying to assert its identity in any manner it deems fit. High unemployment and poverty and a lack of proper planning to tap the readily
available youths and to sway them in the mainstream society has further aggravated the situation.
It needs an indept study to understand how amidst all these the people of the state has managed to survive and in fact adapted to various
means to reconcile itself with arising situation.
Even the Christian do not live what they preach, the whole thing is a farce. Manipuri Christianity has largely failed since the middle of the twentieth century.
This scandalous behavior mocks Christ, undermines evangelism, and destroys Christian credibility. If vital Christian faith is to survive, we must understand the
depth of the crisis, discover why it has happened, and develop obedient, faithful correctives.
The Depth of the Scandal - How bad are things? What is the depth of the scandal? Unless we face these questions with ruthless honesty, we can never hope to
correct the problem. Whether the issue is divorce, materialism, sexual promiscuity, racism, physical abuse in marriage, or neglect of a biblical world view,
the polling data point to widespread, blatant disobedience of clear biblical moral demands on the part of people who allegedly are evangelical, born-again Christians.
The statistics are devastating. In the best analysis, Christianity is becoming like money Manufacturing Industry Institutions. Every other year or so,
The Indians Children's Choir(ICC), the African Children's Choir comprised of orphaned children from Ethiopia, Uganda, Namibia, and all still travel around
the US and Europe to raise funds for their orphanages.
Theirs is for the sole purpose of raising funds for their orphanages. Maybe the Americans donors and Church hostlers would like to know, where the Monies these children's tour is getting is going to? I'm sure the media will FEAT on it. Therefore, the Church has followed the maxim: Why Beg or borrow when you can steal?
Even with all these drawbacks the people of the State seems rich in comparison with their counterpart's of other states and we see a lot of
flashy cars and Scorpios on the street's until yesterday as it all began disappearing once a team of Delhi police landed itself freshly to investigate why
all the stolen cars from Delhi are in Manipur.
And in fact the team did itself good by catching a number of cars in just a few days and the parking space in and around the police station are all lined up
with the recovered stolen vehicles. One can easily assume that the Manipuris have learned to manage the situation and rely on stealing cars instead of paying
a fortune in the show rooms.
Everyone knows that we can get a branded car in mint condition for half the price in Manipur and who is to be blamed for all these as it is human nature to go
for the best but the cheapest. The cars are further authenticated by the respective DTO's in getting the requisite papers and a number of police officials
are involved in this business. The recent list of those caught shows that there is a very big racket of car thieves and
those who protect the interest of these thieves.
Here we can conclude that the Manipuris have followed the maxim: "Why beg or borrow when you can steal easily" to get what you want and when there is a
ready market available to dispose off the stolen cars –in fact market dynamics support that when the demand for stolen gods is high naturally
there will be many theft's in order to keep the supply chain intact and the Delhi police seems to have landed on the wrong place in the globe
because we are all the owner's of 90% of the stolen cars in the country.
'Arise awake and stop not till the goal is reached ' -Swami Vivekananda said and following his advice we have adopted from him:
'Why beg and borrow when you can steal.'
