Whether you believe or not - there were landslide at Mao Gate and
Keithelmanbi, which is located respectively in the north and in the central
parts of Senapati District Manipur. The Nagas mostly inhabit at Mao and
Kukis live at Keithelmanbi.
Many people believe that if you do something good to others - the others will reciprocate without any bad
intention.
In other word - if we do good we'll reap the result of goodness and
if we do bad we'll reap the result of bad deeds. When the evildoers
harass the faithful religious people, some of the religious people
continue to do their own business - whether God punishes the evildoer or not.
It is their belief that all the evildoers will be punished on this
earth or after death. With this belief they have the patience in their
blood.
However some of the religious groups are impatience seeing the
evildoers and show their barbaric acts; they want to take revenge for their
evil acts. If we deliberate the events we never heard or seen - it may
abstruse for us.
However when we saw and do it with our hands - we
understand and realize. Why there was a big landslide that destroyed the
National Highway 39 for long time at Mao Gate and at Keithelmanbi?
Do you think that was a kind of rage of God that is revealed to Nagas and Kukis? Or is that a natural occurrence due to heavy rain? What be should be
our evaluation?
Whether you believe or not - there were two events that occurred in
2004 in Senapati District, Manipur, one at Mao Gate (Naga dominated areas)
and another at Keithelmanbi (Kuki dominated areas).
Do you know what
were the two events that occurred in those two places after 12 years of
Naga-Kuki ethnic problem? As a Geologist or atheist - you may believe
that was a natural occurrence. But as a Christian or believer of God -
you may believe those two events were the signs of God for the Nagas and
Kukis.
Many religious groups believed or alleged that there was
landslide at Mao Gate due to barbaric act of the Nagas. Many people alleged
that some of the Kukis were barbarously killed at Mao Gate checkpoint
during the Naga-Kuki ethnic problem 1992-1994.
However only God knows -
who were killed and tortured because the killing of Nagas and Kukis were
carried secretly in both the Naga-Kuki dominated areas. Many people
also alleged that some of the Nagas were barbarously tortured and killed
at Keithelmanbi during the Naga-Kuki ethnic clashes.
Whether you believe
or not - some religious people believe that due to this barbarous acts
of the Kukis - there was a big landslide and a sort of minor volcanoes
occurred near the Keithelmanbi.
Should we believe or accept that God reveals as sign of rage on Naga
and Kukis? Will that be a superstition or faith if we believe that was
the rage of God shown to the people?
Many believe that was a rage of God
shown to the people because the landslide was too disastrous that many
properties were destroyed and Highway was blocked for more than a week.
Such disastrous landslides have not occurred earlier.
Many people
alleged that the dead bodies of Nagas and Kukis were crying out from the
ground where they were killed and buried at Mao Gate and Keithelmanbi.
Whether you believe or not - some believe that God had revealed his rage
to the people for their barbarous acts. If we believe that was the rage
of God - it is the high time for the Nagas and Kukis to learn and avoid
again such kind of barbarous act in the future.
More than 90% of the
Nagas and Kukis are Christian. They are brother and sister in Christ. But
with such kind of barbarous act during their ethnic problem showed
immaturity in their Christian faith.
Killing another ethnic group through
means of muscle power is not the way of Christianity. The gospel of
Jesus does not teach to avenge but to love their enemies.
If you believe
that was sign from God - it is the time to repent for the barbarous
killing.
If that was a natural occurrence, God is not concern about their
barbarous act of killing each others.
What ever it may be lets forget the
past killing and forgive and develop a better relationship in Christ
Jesus.
