When looking back
Akham Bidhanchandra *
When looking back
There was a gap
Between I and they
I have gone a long way.
The child was crying
I could not be by its side yet
For there was a gap
I could not cross
I was worried
Whether the little ones
They are taking
To the cruel desert
Vultures flying above.
Let this current
Take me anywhere
But I regret while leaving;
Their parents, we, couldn’t lead
To the right path.
