When I die
Nongmaithem Kheroda *
When I die
Take me into the deep woods
Lay me down naked
So that I can feel the soft grasses
Cover me with the blanket of soil
And leave me alone
Set me free from your chaotic "society"
And I shall be sleeping peacefully
To the forest's lullaby
Worms and insects will come
Crawling inside me
Helping me to decay
Mushrooms will grow on me and
Plants bearing beautiful and colourful
Flowers and fruits
And my body shall consume by the Earth
Entering the cycle of nature
Every particles of my body shall live to the Eternity.....
