Training In Quality For Path Labs Going In For Accreditation

When accreditation ensures the quality laboratory testing across the country, in order to help medical testing laboratories to achieve this in the north eastern states, National agencies have come to north east to conduct the four days of Internal Audit and Quality Management System Certificate Course which are organized by the Foundation for Quality India (FQI) and Association of Health Care Providers of India (AHPI).
FQI and AHPI have already conducted over 75 such certificate courses across the country at various centers and so far over 2500 medical laboratory personnel at various levels have under gone the training and most of them belong to the accredited laboratories. Apart from this the faculty of the course has been conducting similar courses in Republic of Philippines, UAE, Iraq and Bangladesh under the UNIDO, EU projects for past several years.
The local coordinators from leading hospitals and testing laboratories in Guwahati have taken initiative in organizing this for the benefit of medical testing laboratory personnel of the North Eastern states of our country. So far three such programs were conducted with the help of medical laboratory quality icons of India Dr Thuppil Venkatesh and Dr Prasad D Sawant.
In order to reach out to more number of medical testing laboratories similar training courses are planned in the coming months in Guwahati.
