Tipaimukh Dam forest clearance rejection by the Forest Advisory Committee, Government of India

I am glad to provide as attached a press release of the Citizens Concern for Dams and Development and the Committee on the Protection of Natural Resources in Manipur concerning the Tipaimukh Dam forest clearance rejection by the Forest Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India in its meet on 11-12 July 2013.
The CCDD and the CPNRM issued this press release to welcome the forest clearance rejection and to review the earlier Environment Clearance for the mega project in October 2008 and also to revoke the MoUs signed on the project based on the confirmation of multifaceted impacts by the proposed project.
